The Hoka Challenger ATR Trail Running Shoes
The light-weight, smooth-riding characteristics of the Clifton have been complimented in the CHALLENGER ATR by a more aggressive outsole and increased support in the upper to create an all-terrain shoe for varied surfaces. Early-Stage Meta-Rocker geometry provides a fluid, efficient ride, and independent rubber pods provide stability on uneven terrain for the runner who values versatility in their running shoe.
A breathable mesh upper allows for increased air flow in the shoe encouraging an environment that is cooler and more comfortable for the wearer. The seamless construction of the synthetic overlays deliver a more stable fit and shoe build while still allowing for freedom of movement and foot flex.
The design of the Challenger ATR delivers a shoe that ensures a superior level of responsiveness despite the high level of cushioning gained through intelligent design. The midsole allows for the correct level of deformation to provide you with lightweight responsiveness and an enhanced feeling of stability. The mixed capabilities of the Hoka Challenger ATR Trail Running Shoes are designed to handle both the road and light trail, for when you feel the urge to go off the beaten path.
The Hoka Challenger ATR Trail Running Shoes utilises unique Oversize Technology to deliver the ultimate in performance, cushioning and comfort.
OVERSIZE TECHNOLOGY

Rolling Motion
Meta-Rocker midsole geometry, specifically engineered with a low heel-toe differential and a sculpted outsole radius in the heel and toe, encourages a guided foot gait cycle. This supports a runner's natural form and encourages an efficient, continuous, positive rolling motion from heel strike to toe-off.Protection
Engineered midsole volume is up to 2.5 times the volume of performance-specific material compared to standard running shoes. This provides unsurpassed shock attenuation, a sense of weightlessness, and an inherently stable ride which is designed to reduce the fatigue in your legs, feet and core.Control
Uniquely engineered Active Foot Frame midsole geometry allows the foot to sink into the shoe as opposed to sitting on top of the midsole. The frame is designed to provide integrated stability which is adaptable to a wide range of feet and running styles.Oversize Protection
A combination of surface hardness and the earth's gravity makes road or asphalt running very hard on the body. Hoka has provided a range of levels of protection to considerably reduce this stress. Rockering Profile
The shoe offers a unique 'rolling' motion to deliver the most natural, efficient and effortless stride possible. Outsole Geometry

Hoka One One is the brainchild of two gravity sports enthusiasts Jean-Luc Diard and Nicolas Mermoud. Both men have been adventuring for as long as they can remember, and their trail running experiences have taken them across the globe. Both Jean-Luc and Nicolas are committed to the values of freedom and enjoyment and feel that this is part of to the running experience whether running on the trail or in the city. With this in mind they started to look at the variables that affected the performance of different types of runners. They quickly came to an important conclusion; fatigue, impacts and muscle strains were challenges that runners of all stripes had to deal with every day. So Jean-Luc and Nicolas came up with a brilliant idea, why not design a shoe that would help to alleviate these problems - so that freedom and enjoyment could be guaranteed every time you go running! From that idea Hoka One One was born. The word Hoka is derived from the ancient Maori language and roughly translated to "now it is time to fly". That's just how it feels to run in a pair of Hoka One One shoes; with each and every step, your foot flies. Today's runners from around the world are learning about the benefits of Hoka One One, they have been used by marathon winners. 50 miles, 100 miles and even 2000+ miles ultra-runners as well as runners just like you or I, who want to enjoy running, perform at their peak and feel that important sense of freedom whilst maintaining top physical performance and protecting against shocks, jolts and injuries. So put your best foot forward, it's time to fly!
